This one really is food for thought. Tonight I made a beef and Rice dish I decided to call Carne con Aroz ala Chili. Ready here goes: you take some finely diced read onions and sauté them in olive oil butter mix. (The oil helps you cook at high temps with our burning, and the butter gives it flavor and a little texture.) Melt equal parts oil and butter about 1/4 cup together.toss in a good size spoonful of garlic, a little salt and pepper, and a couple of dashes each of mexican oregano and chipotle chili powder. Let the onions cook for 3-4 mins. and add in one pound ground beef. Once cooked drain the grease, put it back into pan and add one can corn, one tbsp Adobo sauce, and one tsp tomato paste. Stir in the sauces and add one can chicken stock and bring to boil. Add two cups minute rice. let the water cook out as normal and viola! you have
*make sure rice is cooked thoroughly, you may need to add another cup of water. Although, I have not yet run into this problem.
