My friend, Sean Ivey, posted this on his Facebook page and when he was telling me about it I thought it would make a great blog. let’s face it we all like to make fun of the government at one time or another. This turns out to be perfect for that very thing.
The SNAP/food stamp program administered by the Department of Agriculture, is pleased to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever.
Meanwhile the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asked us to “please not to feed the animals” signs are all around the park. They say the animals would become dependent on the handouts and not learn to take care of themselves.
Apparently it is alright for humans to become dependent on handouts and not take care of themselves. Heaven forbid if the animals we keep in our parks become dependent. If they really do not want that to happen maybe we should put the animals back into the wild and throw the humans into the parks. That way the handouts could be more easily regulated. The humans that don’t really need them and are just mooching would be put down. Or…actually released back into the wild to fend for themselves. I do know there are people on welfare that deserve all they get and in some cases deserve more than they receive. I also see, on almost a daily basis, that there are quite a few that do not now, nor have they ever earned their way into the system. Yet some of them get more benefits than some of the others that do earn them. As part of my wake-em-up slap in the face to them that need it….this has been happening for years now.
My Disclaimer: (I) I realize that this would require the government to actually get off the duffs and do some research and possibly their jobs. As a firm believer of the government being the laziest and most narcissistic part of this country. I do not feel that will ever happen.
